Mini contest (September 2017)

The theme will be, "Create a creature'

Create a creature to be turned into a plush!
Mash two creatures together, a creature and an object, or make up something entirely new!

Contest will be judged on
Feasibility-Is this design 'plushable'? Does it have a lot of fine points, sharp edges, and tiny details? Those things don't always translate well to 3D textile form. Is it cuddly? cute?
Theme-Did you create something that could be turned into a plush? This one is easy.
Creativity-Let's see your ideas and individuality show.
Originality-Is this something new? Has it been done before?

Restrictions:
Do not submit an entry based off of insects, bugs, arachnids, arthropods, or common 'phobia' creatures.
Do not submit any creature based off of any form of violence, sexual activity (including fetishes), or illness.
Do not submit any creature based off of a current political theme or controversial social concern.

Prizes~
All default prizes are tangible and require a mailing address*

Grand prize will be a medium sized box stuffed with goodies! (11" x 8" x 5")
You will receive at least 4 plush (non-fandom) from our galleries, 2 packets of wacky imported candies, as well as stickers, stationary, postcards, keychains, charms, pins, buttons, decorative trinkets, squishies, resin decora, and more! Prize boxes are filled to the top with fun and goodies

Other prize packets will be small bubble envelopes or boxes (8" x 5" x 2") filled to the top with prizes from the list above!
The number of prizes given out are based on the number of entries.
*if a winner can not receive mail, up to 1000 points will be awarded in their place.

Judges are myself and 3 studiomates.
Any creature submitted may be integrated into one of our existing or future plush lines.
Any artist who's creature is chosen for future endeavors will be awarded a prize packet as compensation.

Yes.
Are your contests free to enter?
Yes. Please make sure you are a watcher, and a journal share is appreciated as well.
Will you critique or comment on my entry so I can improve it?
No
Does my entry have to be in color?
No. Color is not necessary. Beautiful things can be made with a monochrome palette.
How many times can I enter?
You can enter as many times as you want, but quality counts over quantity.
However, one person may win only one place/prize. This includes honorable mentions (if active).
Can I use a stock background?
As long as you provide credit to the owner and follow their rules.
Can I use a base?
Did you make it yourself?
If not, it's a collaboration piece and credit needs to be given to the base maker.
Are collaborations allowed?
Yes, but prizes will be sent to the artist who submits the piece.
